Mark Miller
studied economics and business at the University of Witten/Herdecke in
Germany and the University of Texas at Austin (on a scholarship from the
German/American Club and a Fulbright scholarship). He was awarded the Bertram prize for
economics and won the entrepreneurship essay competition at the University of
Kassel.
After receiving his German
business administration degree (Diplom-Betreibswirt), he worked at the Deutsche
Bank in the corporate client and asset management department. As an
analyst at Bertelsmann AG, he evaluated strategic investment options.
Mark Miller is a member of the investment committee of the Hamburg Innovation Starter Fund (Innovationsstarter Fonds Hamburg) and sits on the supervisory board of legodo AG. He has been involved in over 100 successful transactions.

Michael
Moritz
studied economics and law at Albert-Ludwigs-University
in Freiburg, Germany and the University of Cologne, Germany. He worked at the German
Trust Agency in Berlin (Treuhandanstalt) on the restructuring and privatization
of medium-sized holdings.
As
a corporate finance consultant at Doertenbach & Co. GmbH, Frankfurt, he
handled strategic mergers and acquisitions for primarily medium-sized
enterprises and their owners. All told, he has been involved
in over 150 successful transactions.
Michael Moritz is a member of
the medium-sized enterprise advisory board of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and of the board of trustees of the German Property Foundation
(Stiftung Eigentum); he also heads the regulatory Family Entrepreneurs Commission
(Kommission der Familienunternehmer) and is a member of the Federal Association
of Family Entrepreneurs (Bundessenat der Familienunternehmer).
