CatCap and Jarl Securities join forces
CatCap acquires majority in Swedish Jarl Securities
CatCap, a leader among M&A companies in Germany, acquires the Swedish firm Jarl Securities. CatCap takes its first true international step and the companies join forces to execute on their joint vision of delivering excellence in investment banking for entrepreneurs.
In Germany, CatCap is one of the leading M&A advisors. 2/3 of the transactions advised by CatCap are cross-border. CatCap is therefore already internationally represented with its Globalscope partnership network with 55 members in 46 countries. Due to the importance of the Scandinavian markets, CatCap has decided to represent itself here with its own location through the acquisition of Jarl Securities.
With Jarl Securities CatCap was able to find the ideal partner on site. Just like CatCap Jarl Securities is part of the Globalscope network. Jarl Securities is a fast-growing company with an excellent track record in M&A of technology-driven companies from e-commerce, software and business services and also traditional industrial companies. CatCap and Jarl Securities set similar priorities and have comparable professional working methods.
With the participation of Jarl Securities, CatCap was able to support the merger of Bytro Labs and Stillfront and was represented on the Supervisory Board by Mark Miller after the listing of Stillfront at the Nasdaq in Stockholm and co-initiated 5 acquisitions including, amongst others, the acquisition of Good Game Studios and OFM in Germany.
One of Jarl Securities' contributions to the new group is its equity research department, which is a leading provider of equity market research and has sound equity market expertise. Jarl Securities covers more than 60 listed companies in cooperation with the Swedish Shareholders' Association. This is a unique additional offer among M&A focused consultants.
Jarl Securities was originally founded by Knutsson Holdings with a few key individuals. Mark Miller and Daniel Garlipp from CatCap replace Michael Knutsson, who is leaving the board. All other current board members remain on board with Finn Johnsson as chairman, Katarina Bonde and Fredrik Adolfsson.
The Jarl Securities team led by Anders Elgemyr and Erik Lundberg will work closely with the CatCap team on M&A and ECM projects. If you have a transaction with a German-Swedish connection, please feel free to contact us.
